Ecovert-Haïti analyse la situation des ressources forestières et hydriques en Haïti
Le Groupe d’intervention écologique d’Haïti (Ecovert-Haïti) a organisé un atelier d’analyse de la situation des ressources forestières et hydriques en Haïti. Cet événement s’est tenu à l’occasion des Journées internationales des forêts et de la Journée mondiale de l’eau, respectivement 21 et 22 mars.
À l’issue de cet atelier, Ecovert-Haïti a tenu une séance spéciale afin de présenter une analyse critique du dernier rapport du Ministère du Commerce et de l’Industrie (MCI) concernant la situation alarmante de la qualité de l’eau potable dans la région métropolitaine de Port-au-Prince.
Face aux enjeux écologiques actuels, le coordonnateur à la recherche d’Ecovert-Haïti, Anel Dorléan, dans sa déclaration lors de cette activité, a évoqué la situation difficile que traverse le pays, notamment en ce qui concerne les ressources issues des forêts depuis environ 50 ans.
