Konfederasyon Nasyonal Vodouyizan Ayisyen (KNVA) a un nouveau visage à sa tête. À l’issue des élections organisées le 7 mars 2026, la prêtresse vodou Florence Deltor Jean Joseph a été élue Ati Nasyonal par l’organisation, selon les résultats consignés dans le procès-verbal publié par la commission électorale.
En raison de la situation sécuritaire précaire une partie du vote s’est déroulée à distance, via WhatsApp, tandis que certains départements ont maintenu des bureaux de vote en présentiel, notamment dans le Nord, l’Artibonite, l’Ouest et les Nippes. Une manière, selon les organisateurs, de permettre aux électeurs de participer malgré les contraintes.
Au total, la liste électorale comptait 364 électeurs issus de différentes structures du vodou telle que gwètò, gwètòde, atingdehoun, manm sèvitorya, anciens dirigeants ou encore membres fondateurs de la KNVA.
Dans les faits, 190 personnes ont effectivement pris part au scrutin. Parmi elles, 103 ont voté en ligne tandis que 87 se sont déplacées dans les bureaux de vote. Le processus électoral était supervisé par quatre commissaires de la KNVA et observé par deux représentants du ministère des Cultes, avec la supervision du directeur général de l’institution.
Au moment du dépouillement, Florence Deltor Jean Joseph s’est nettement démarquée avec 111 voix. Elle devance largement ses concurrents Carol De Lynch, Leonel Mompoint Mondestin et Ganier Séjour.
