L’année 2025 a été marquée par une inflation aiguë, atteint jusqu’à 32.2% le taux annuel
Pour l’exercice fiscal 2024-2025, l'économie haïtienne a une fois de plus, enregistré un taux de croissance négatif, soit -2,7%. Le taux d’inflation demeure à deux chiffres. Suivant, les récentes données publiées par la Banque de la République d'Haïti (BRH), le taux annuel s'élève à 32.2%, avec un ralentissement au niveau mensuel, constaté durant les derniers mois de l'année.
Pendant ces dernières années, la catégorie la plus importante dans l'indice des prix à la consommation dans l'économie haïtienne est Alimentation. Ainsi, les chiffres démontrent que celle-ci ainsi que le logement pèsent à un niveau assez élevé sur le taux de l’inflation. D'où, plus de 5 millions de personnes font face à l'insécurité alimentaire aiguë et plus de 1 millions de déplacés internes qui cherchent à suivre dans les camps de fortune, dans des foyers d’accueil, ou qui cherchent à se relocaliser dans des zones moins risquées de la capitale ou dans des villes de province.
Toutefois, une légère décélération a été observée dans l'inflation en novembre 2025 par rapport au mois précédent. En effet, l’Indice Général des Prix à la Consommation (IPC, base 100 en 2017-2018) est passé de 564.9 en octobre à 570.4 en novembre, correspondant à une variation en rythmes mensuel et annuel de 1.0% et 28.3%,contre respectivement 1.5% et 32.2% en octobre.
