Cap-Haïtien : La grève des enseignants paralyse les écoles publiques et menace l’année scolaire
Des enseignants des établissements scolaires publics ont manifesté à travers les rues du Cap-Haïtien, le lundi 31 mars 2025, afin de réclamer de meilleures conditions de travail.
Munis de pancartes et de branches d'arbres, les professionnels de l'éducation venant de plusieurs communes du département du Nord ont sillonné plusieurs rues de la ville en scandant des propos hostiles au titulaire du ministère de l'Éducation nationale et de la Formation professionnelle (MENFP), Antoine Augustin, qu'ils fustigent pour avoir fait fi de leurs revendications.
« Nous sommes déterminés à forcer les responsables du MENFP à respecter nos revendications, qui sont : l'allocation de la carte de débit, la nomination des professeurs qualifiés qui sont en classe depuis plusieurs décennies, le paiement intégral des arriérés de salaires, ainsi que la formation continue pour les enseignants », ont déclaré les protestataires.
